Weston Hotel North Yorkshire

Best described as a boutique style hotel, we are fully independent, owned and operated by ourselves. We have a passion for hospitality and are confident we deliver a more personal and individual experience.

We are ideally situated just a mile from Scarborough South Cliff Golf Club, less than three miles from Scarborough North Cliff Golf Club and just nine miles from Ganton Golf Club.

Our handsome Victorian hotel enjoys a prestigious position on the elegant Esplanade. We have 32 bedrooms, Restaurant, Bar, Lounge and Library all inside our fully refurbished building. The front facing rooms all enjoy panoramic views across the bay, from the Norman castle and harbour area in the North, to Cayton Bay and Filey Brigg in the South. Since taking over the hotel in 2010 we have enjoyed excellent reviews and many repeat visits from satisfied guests. 

Rooms

32 bedrooms over three floors, accessed by lift or staircase. All rooms have been beautifully refurbished, and are complete with private bathroom, the usual TV and in room beverage tray, complimentary quality toiletries, sumptuous beds, and contemporary furniture.

Rooms are categorised by aspect, Sea View, Inland View and Inland, with the usual Double, Twin and Single options. Each room really is individual in itself, and in our development plan we have attempted to introduce unique elements where possible.

There is arguably no better aspect in Scarborough – the whole South Bay panorama is really at its best at sunrise, so it’s worth an early rise at least once in your stay.

First Floor Sea View Rooms

Our first floor sea-view king rooms each with a magnificent bay window overlooking the south bay. Relax in your sumptuous armchairs and take in the views.

These rooms can be configured as a king double or twin and have either walk-in shower or bath with shower over.

We have two individually designed sea-view single rooms on the first floor, each with feature floor to ceiling window. Standard 3 foot bed each with open plan shower area.

These truly are the show stoppers. 

Restaurant

It’s said the kitchen is the Heart of the Home – and that’s certainly true here at the Weston. Our award winning team work hard with our local suppliers to ensure an ever changing range of creative seasonal dishes, daily specials and traditional favourites. Jams, Chutneys, Pickles and Puds are all handmade, Terrines are pressed, Hams are boiled and Chips are hand cut!

Breakfast is as it should be, freshly cooked for you and served at your table – no self service here!

Bar, lounge & library

Guests and non-residents are invited to enjoy our relaxed contemporary Lounge Bar, which is open from 10.00 daily. It provides the perfect setting for a light lunch, served from 12.30 till 14.00. Our well stocked bar offers a variety of local ales, in particular those from the Wold Top Brewery. Furthermore, we like to express our Scottish family heritage by providing a wide range of single malt whiskeys to sample.

Adjacent to the bar is our ‘Little Lounge,’ a light, informal area with the most magnificent sea-views. This room is again ideal for a spot of lunch, however it is also available for private hire for small functions and parties.

Our ‘Library’ is the perfect cosy and quiet spot to enjoy a beverage and a good book. On a cold day, you might be lucky enough to find yourself in one of our comfy armchairs beside the fire lounging the day away in bliss.
