Originally a 19th coaching inn the Riverside is now a busy 20 bedroom hotel offering the perfect combination of market-town energy and rural loveliness with friendly, professional service and exceptional value, making it an ideal location for a relaxing break.

We have 20 en-suite bedrooms. Our rooms are varied in size and shape. Some have original oak beams others are more modern having been added over the last few years. Whatever the style of room all are en-suite and we endeavour to ensure a high degree of cleanliness and comfort. Most rooms are enabled for wifi internet communication.

With its comfortable built in sofas and bar stools, the residents bar is a smart and comfortable spot for morning coffee with a newspaper, a lunchtime snack or pre dinner drinks. With free wifi it can be an office or casual meeting place for business people too.

If you prefer a more casual atmosphere, the sports bar is very informal and offers a pool table and big screen television for those important sporting moments!

We offer one of the widest ranges draught beers, lagers and traditional local ales and ciders and have an extensive wine list with wines for every occasion, to which we regularly add new bottles we have discovered.
