Just a five-minute stroll away – over the river bridge – from the picturesque town of Usk, the privately-owned Glen-Yr-Afon aims to offer a relaxing stay in rural South Wales. A traditional Victorian property, no two rooms are the same. Each one has its own individual character, style and space. Some rooms even have two floors, making them ideal for families.

The Glen-Yr-Afon has been a family-owned and family-run business since 1974 and is host to 27 elegant bedrooms. There is also the Stable Cottage located in the well maintained grounds of the hotel which is the perfect place to stay for a weekend break.

There are twelve golf courses within 12 miles of the hotel, including the Ryder Cup venue Celtic Manor.

There are a variety of short break packages available to suit all our guests, with our Luxury Break Package proving to be extremely popular.
