Ard na Sidhe is a delightful 18 Bedroom Victorian style manor house, built by Lady Gordon in 1913. The house is beautifully situated on the shores of Caragh Lake in the scenic county of Kerry in the south west of Ireland.

At Ard na Sidhe, an ambience of graceful elegance is combined with the luxury of modern comforts while retaining an old world enchantment with its collection of antique furnishings and paintings.

Sleep in the most comfortable of beds, lulled by the sounds of the peaceful lakeshore. Crisp Irish linens, deep mattresses and antique furniture are the hallmark of our 18 ensuite bedrooms, 10 of which are located in the Main House and 8 within the courtyard’s Garden House. The philosophy of Ard na Sidhe is that of total relaxation and calm – an escape from the stresses of the modern world. Our charming bedrooms are without the interference of televisions or radios – Simply allow yourself to escape.

The intimate dining room offers a warm welcome, where tables are dressed in crisp linen for breakfast or adorned with crystal for a candlelit dinner. The menu at Ard na Sidhe features a wide selection of both regional and international dishes. Fresh Atlantic Fish and the finest Kerry Lamb are two of the most popular main courses while local cheeses and fresh summer fruits are perfect to round off the meal.

After dinner enjoy a brandy from the drinks cabinet and relax by the open fire in the lounge. While some guests never stray further from the house than for Afternoon Tea on the Terrace, for those who wish to explore a little further afield, the kitchen will be pleased to pack a picnic basket full of afternoon treats.

Set within a short drive from several of the South West’s major golf courses, Ard na Sidhe offers an ideal base from which to play a number of courses.
