For nearly a century, Pitlochry has provided one of Scotland’s most scenically appealing golf courses for members and visitors alike. The golf course is situated only two miles from the geographic centre of Scotland, and is surrounded by some of Scotland’s most beautiful, natural countryside.

Included in the surrounding area around the growing settlement of Pitlochry lie the Grampian Mountains to the north, including Ben-Y-Vrackie which stands over looking the town and also the River Tummel, which flows through Loch Faskally and meanders in a southeastwardly direction towards the communities of Ballinluig and Dunkeld.

Our location, only a half hour’s drive north from Perth on Scotland’s backbone route, the A9, gives an ideal location for golfers all over Scotland and beyond. Pitlochry is easily accessed by road and rail and is an ideal base for either a few days away or a prolonged golfing break. With courses such as Blairgowrie, Boat of Garten, Crieff, Dunkeld, Gleneagles, Newtonmore and Taymouth Castle all easily reached within an hours drive, not to mention some delightful nine hole courses such as Blair Atholl, Kenmore, Killin and Strathtay nearby, it comes as no surprise that Pitlochry is a popular golfing destination which satisfies all tastes. Pitlochry Golf Course has been labelled “The Switzerland of Scotland” in an article published in Golf Illustrated in 1951 by H.J. Chapman. The author described Pitlochry as ” supplying great, invigorating golf in the shadow of the Grampians”, and “having champagne air and entrancing scenery”.
