Pontnewydd Golf Club Monmouthshire
We are debatably the Oldest Golf Club in Wales, the course was established in 1875, over 140 years ago, and our aim now, as was then, is to provide quality, affordable golf to members and visitors in a safe and friendly environment. In short…
We are officially classed as a 9 hole course, but by combining the 11 different greens and various additional tee box areas we have, by playing the course a second time it becomes an 18 hole course.
If you are a High or Low Handicap player the course will test your golfing ability and for the busy workingman or woman with little spare time and find it difficult to play a full 18 holes, we are the ideal answer, play 9 and be back at the Club House (not stranded mid course as is the case on many other “Full” 18 hole Clubs).
We are a small friendly Club, we offer a very warm welcome to all so don’t delay come and play… Give us a try, you won’t regret it and even if your golf is off on that day the on course views across the valley and Bristol Channel towards Ilfracombe are amazing.
We look forward to seeing you.
