Jeake’s House provides outstanding accommodation in Rye. The 16th Century house plays host to the discerning guest who wants to recapture the feel of history while at the same time enjoying a high standard of modern comfort and relaxed hospitality. Rye accommodation is notoriously good and Jeake’s House certainly lives up to this reputation. Guests will be invariably welcomed by our flirtatious tonkinese, Yum Yum or Monte, cordially complemented by the friendly service of the proprietors, Jenny Hadfield and Richard Martin.

This Rye accommodation is a 5 star award winning establishment, AA highly recommended and Visit Britain gold award holder. Jeake’s House is also the proud recipient of the Good Hotel Guide Cesar award and the Les Routiers best Bed and Breakfast in London and the South East.

The rooms of this small Rye Hotel have been named after literary and artistic figures that have visited Rye and the former residents of Jeakes House. We feel it is important to keep these names alive. Each bedroom has been individually restored to cerate its own special atmosphere. Combining traditional elegance and luxury with modern amenities. Every room has a direct access dial telephone, television, hairdryer and hospitality tray. Most have an en suite bathroom and all provide luxuriously fluffy towels, face cloths and dressing gowns to provide a wonderfully comfortable stay in this Rye hotel. Rye is a beautiful town and each bedroom provides a different view of the town, the juxta position of the red rooftops, picturesque mermaid street and the sweeping expanse of Romney Marshes.

The dramatic bar provides a comfortable and welcoming place to sit and relax before going out for the evening and the perfect place for a drink before you retire for the night. The granite topped honesty bar is open at all times exclusively for Jeake’s House guests. You are welcome to help yourself to drinks and to make a note on the pad provided so that the cost can be added to your bill on departure.
