Welcome to the website of Pontardawe Golf Club. The club, founded in 1924 as a 9 hole course and subsequently extended to 18 holes in 1964, is situated in the upper Swansea valley overlooking the delightful village of Pontardawe.
At just over 6101 yards and par 70, the course provides a good challenge of golf for the Club Golfer. Although a mountain course, there are only a couple of gentle climbs to the top, where the golfer is treated to panoramic views of the Swansea valley, to the south, and the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains, to the north. Then the descent of the 16th, as you tee off the top of the mountain, to the green below.
Owned by the membership, we have a reputation as a very friendly and hospitable Club, and welcome visitors to enjoy the course (and the views), although booking in advance is advisable and a current handicap certificate is required.
Facilities, at the club, include a Professional Shop, Practice Facilities (including an indoor practice room), a well stocked bar, also serving snacks and meals, and a very pleasant lounge overlooking the 18th green.
