Fernhill Hotel Dumfries and Galloway
Fernhill Hotel offers an excellent central base from where you can enjoy Stay & Play golf packages on many of the superb local courses and is in fact only a 100 yards from Portpatrick (Dunskey) golf course, so the option for a quick couple of holes is never a tall order.
Stay & Play Packages can be booked for one night, two nights, or more if you prefer the option of a longer stay and are available on Bed & Breakfast or Dinner, Bed & Breakfast terms.
All Stay & Play golf packages at Fernhill Hotel include one round of golf per person per each night stay with a choice of tee times at Creachmore (Stranraer), Dunskey (Portpatrick), Wigtownshire County (Glenluce) and our very own Cally Golf Course at Cally Palace Hotel, Gatehouse of Fleet.
Set in private gardens above Portpatrick, Scotland, Fernhill Hotel commands stunning open views over the village, harbour and Irish Sea.
This picture-perfect panorama greets you as you check in to the hotel and is your backdrop while you dine or relax over a drink. Most of our three-star hotel’s accommodation also benefits from this unspoilt coastal scene.
Once the main ferry port to Ireland, Portpatrick in Dumfries & Galloway is now the proud holder of the title “the Jewel in the Crown of Galloway” and is today a bustling yacht and fishing village with attractive craft shops and friendly harbourside pubs.
We have 30 hotel rooms at Fernhill, 26 rooms in the main hotel with the rest in the Gardens House.
Rooms range from cosy standard accommodation to front-facing rooms with their own terraced balcony and the elegant Fernhill Suite.
Fernhill Hotel provides a wonderfully restful, coastal location from which to explore Dumfries & Galloway and become better acquainted with south-west Scotland.
All our guest rooms and suites come with television, room service, tea and coffee-making facilities and complimentary mineral water.
Next to the main hotel, our Gardens House, with sunny entrance porch and four twin rooms, lends itself particularly well to golfing groups of up to eight.
