The Marquis of Granby Kent
Ideally situated just eight miles from Broome Park Golf Club and within easy driving distance of Royal St. George’s, Prince’s and Royal Cinque Ports golf clubs.
A 200-year-old former village inn has been converted into a luxury boutique hotel and fine dining restaurant in the heart of Kent’s picturesque Alkham Valley, near Dover. Nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Supported by a team of chefs from some of the best restaurants in Kent, Steve prides himself on his contemporary cuisine. The emphasis is on robust, fresh flavours and locally sourced ingredients – whether it’s the catch of the day landed by the local fishing boats, or wild herbs foraged straight from the countryside.
Our ethos is to use the most local and seasonal produce to deliver good quality food on the plate. We aim to do exceptional, classic pub food, as well as interesting premium dishes.
The Marquis was transformed into a fine dining restaurant with luxury boutique rooms following a major refurbishment in 2019. The building has been stripped back to its original brickwork, extended, refurbished, and furnished to provide contemporary style and elegance in a rural setting.
After an evening of fine food and wine, you can relax in boutique style luxury with an overnight stay in one of The Marquis’s ten individually designed bedrooms, all of which boast sumptuous furniture and fabrics, flat screen TV, contemporary bathrooms and the finest toiletries.
The Marquis is just five minutes from the M20 in Folkestone and 10 minutes from the Channel Tunnel (Eurotunnel) and Dover’s ferry port and Dover’s cruise terminal, making it ideal for an overnight stay on the way to or returning from the Continent.
