Harpenden Golf Club is a private members club with approximately 800 members. The course, laid out in 1931 by the renowned architect Hawtree & Taylor, is a mature parkland course in about 150 acres of rolling Hertfordshire countryside. Ongoing investment in the course has ensured that it is one of the best in the county, this being recognised by the fact that a number of county and regional competition events have been held here.
The clubhouse has undergone major redevelopment and refitting to ensure the highest quality for the public rooms and comfortable locker rooms for both ladies and men. As well as an active programme of golf competitions and matches there is a lively social scene with sufficient variety for most tastes.
Visitors are welcome at Harpenden Golf Club during the week and by arrangement at weekends and Bank Holidays and can look forward to a fair challenge on our mature and interesting course. After your golf why not enjoy a snack or meal in the bar or dining room of our friendly clubhouse? We are an equal opportunities club and both men and ladies are welcomed to enjoy our facilities.
Ongoing investment in the course has ensured that it is one of the best clubs in the county and in 2010 we were pleased to host the English Golf Union South East Group Seniors Championship, the Hertfordshire County Championship Qualifying Round and the County Ladies De Paula Cup. In 2013 we were selected to host the Area Final for the LGU Coronation Foursomes; the inaugural Hertfordshire Mid Amateur Championship; and, the Herts Ladies Seniors Championship.
