Sandy Lodge Golf Club Middlesex

Founded in 1910 and designed by six-times Open Champion Harry Vardon, Sandy Lodge is a superb example of inland links golf.
The site was chosen primarily because of its sandy soil and excellent drainage, and as a result, the course is open year-round and enjoys a reputation of being playable even in the most extreme weather conditions. Recent improvements include an extension and refurbishment of the clubhouse in 1996, as well as a major course and driving range renewal in 2000.
The course takes advantage of the area’s natural terrain while making use of heather, mounding, and strategically placed bunkers, challenging players of all ages and skill levels. John Jacobs, a former Ryder Cup Captain and professional at the club, appreciated the large practice facilities, which have been updated to reflect the needs of the modern golfer.
The clubhouse has been modernised to accommodate larger groups, but it retains the warmth and welcoming ambience that’s given Sandy Lodge the recognised status of ‘friendliest club in the area’. Situated just 100 yards from the Moor Park Tube station and a mere 3 miles inside the M25, travel to the club is quick and convenient from central London or from the surrounding countryside.
So come and share the experience of classic inland links golf offered at Sandy Lodge Golf Club.
