The Plough Inn North Yorkshire

The Plough Inn is a traditional English pub now proudly boasting six beautiful boutique bedrooms, conveniently located in the Fulford area of York, one of Britain’s most beautiful cities. The pub has been open for over 300 years and the age and character of this wonderful pub make it the perfect place for you to enjoy a meal, a drink and to spend the night if you so wish.

The Plough Inn offers a hearty selection of home cooked meals which are made to order. There is also a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits meaning we have something for every taste.

All of this can be enjoyed in the cozy surrounds of a traditional pub with a wonderful atmosphere which welcomes both locals and visitors alike. 

We boast ten golf courses within 15 miles of the Inn including Fulford Golf Club less than a mile away.

Our beautiful rooms have been designed by us, with the huge help, skill, and dedication of our wonderful builder Richard (of Wilson Construction) who you may have glimpsed on TV’s Grand Designs!

The rooms have each been lovingly created to give you what we hope is a most enjoyable stay. From the antique furnishings, designer wall coverings, luxurious bedding and fluffy white towels, flat screen TV, air conditioning to the ‘Good Night’ chocolates on your pillow, we hope we have thought of everything.

The Plough Inn prides itself on providing fresh, home cooked food everyday. We are passionate about the food we serve and we aim to bring our customers the quality traditional pub meal at the right price. As part of this commitment we look to source as many of our ingredients as possible from local and sustainable suppliers. We also hand make much of the food we sell including our fabulous hand cut chips and beer battered onion rings. 

The Plough Inn offers a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits. We are particularly proud of the Wines we offer which are the perfect accompaniment to our meals. We also provide a number of real ales, a variety of bottled beers and a range of fruit ciders which are particularly popular – especially when served with ice and enjoyed in our beer garden.

We pride ourselves on the quality of the drinks we serve and to ensure this we maintain the highest standards in our cellar management and cleanliness. We do all of this so that you can enjoy the perfect pint, every time.
