Worksop is very much a classic English woodland course and was made famous around the world by the exploits of its most famous ever member – Lee Westwood. The former European No.1, as far as reports go, still holds the course record on his home course and has been known to ‘drop by’ on occasion.
There are a number of superb holes on this enjoyable but testing layout, most notably the 9th and 10th, the 10th being a very long par five that will test your long-iron play and shot making from inside 90-yards. The course then enjoys a good run of holes from the 12th onwards and finishes with the superb 18th – a par three right beside the clubhouse!
