The golf club started with 9 holes at Steeraway Farm, Wellington and it was instituted in 1905.The present 18 hole course developed nearby on the Wrekin and Ercall hills in 1909 and is the base of the present course. Wrekin Golf Club celebrated its centenary in 2005 with various events particularly during centenary week 25th June to 3rd July.
The clubhouse has been modified, particularly the Gents facilities, and we look forward to welcoming friends old and new. Wrekin Golf course has been desribed as ‘a downland and undulating parkland course with some magnificent views’.
