Lickey Hills Golf Course West Midlands
Probably the most picturesque golf course in the Midlands situated on the dramatic slopes of Lickey Hills Country Park. Huge banks of pine trees tower above the 16th, 17th and 18th holes and the course enjoys the sort of setting usually reserved for the most exclusive of clubs.
Opened in 1921 the course offers a true test of your golfing ability. The 10th hole is testing, restricting the bold player to a 5 wood or 3 iron first shot. You are then left will a long approach shot which requires accuracy as you have to negotiate a narrow approach to the green. Probably the most difficult hole is the long 222 yards par 3 15th. Most players have to take a long iron or wood and requires accuracy across a stream onto a small green.
On a summers day the course is golfing paradise.
