Appleby Golf Club Cumbria
Welcome To APPLEBY GOLF CLUB
Appleby Golf Club, founded in 1894, is located on the outskirts of the ancient royal borough of Appleby-in-Westmorland in Cumbria. The club transferred to its present site in 1903.
The course is renowned throughout Cumbria and beyond for the high quality of its greens which, unlike many courses, are used all year except during frost.
Because of its sandy subsoil the course has firm fairways which dry out quickly after rain making an excellent venue for winter golf.
Appleby Golf Club is probably the only golf club in Cumbria to enjoy stunning panoramic views of the fells of the North Pennines, Howgills and Lakeland from the clubhouse and the course. There is a variety of local accommodation in Appleby for those wanting to stay in the area.
A warm welcome awaits both members and visitors seven days a week throughout the year. We look forward to seeing you soon.
