Carus Green, located on the fringes of the Lake District, has gained a reputation for being one of the finest golf courses in Cumbria and Northern England.
Situated to the north of the pretty and historic market town of Kendal, this 18-hole parkland course has stunning vistas of the surrounding countryside and the Lake District fells, interesting natural topography, and three rivers that meander through the course adding interest and variety to every hole – The Kent, The Mint and The Sprint.
In recent times the golf course has been substantially remodelled with a number of challenging two-tier greens and a host of new water features and improved tees. The halfway house, and fountain on the 18th hole have been designed to complement and enhance the award-winning contemporary clubhouse.
At more than 6,100 yards (par 70) from the white tees, Carus Green presents a stiff but fair test whilst offering mostly flat, easy walking on the river plains. Beautifully situated par 70 parkland course with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. At times testing with the rivers kent, mint and sprint meandering through the course, it offers challenges to every level of golfer.
