The Northumberland Golf Club is a members’ club situated in the pleasant surroundings of Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, close to the A1. It has a much deserved reputation as a course of exceptional quality and is regarded as one of the finest in the North East of England.

It comprises a 6683 yd. challenge designed by Harry Colt and James Braid. All 18 holes are of a level, heathland nature with the firm, fast greens a particular feature. The Northumberland Golf Club is proud to have hosted many major events, both professional and amateur. These include the Dunlop Masters, the English Amateur championship, the British Youths Championship, The Commonwealth Ladies Tournament, and most recently (in 2004) the English Boys Open Strokeplay Championship.
