Our Championship links course, again the only links course in Yorkshire, is situated by the shores of the North Sea and measures 6696 yards from the white tees with a par of 72. The Ladies play from red tees all the year round and their course measures 5577 yards with a par of 73.

The course itself is flat and easy to walk. It is protected by strategically placed bunkers both on the fairways and around the greens. In addition, and in common with many Championship links courses, it is a true test of golf when the wind blows. It is, as usual, always advantageous to contact the club in advance of your visit to ensure the course is available for play. The clubhouse is open seven days a week and serves a variety of beers, lagers, wines and spirits, all at prices below the rate charged in the local public houses.

The club has an excellent PGA professional and a very well stocked shop where many items of equipment can be purchased. We pride ourselves on our excellent catering. Special lunches and an all day menu are available daily and visiting parties may order from specially prepared menus. Private functions for up to 80 can be catered for. In April 2002 we moved into a brand new club house. This was officially opened by Sir Michael Bonallack on May 31st 2002. This incorporates magnificent views over the course and sea and first class facilities. In preparation of the move we did construct three new holes with the financial assistance of the R & A. These were constructed in 1998 and were brought into play in 2001.

Alterations have been made to the course but we can assure old visitors that the three new holes are first class examples of links golf and will enhance Cleveland Golf Club’s reputation. We can assure a warm, North-East welcome, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee, the weather.
