Woodhall Hills Golf Club West Yorkshire
Nowhere in Yorkshire, we venture to state, is there a course of more varied interest than that at Woodhall Hills. Situated at the top of a hill, the invigorating air and extensive views of the surrounding country at Woodhall would be hard to excel. The scenery, particularly from the first green and third tee, is beyond description; hill, plain and valley blending to make one harmonious whole.
On ordinary clear days there are wonderful views backed by Greenhow Hill in the distance and on very clear days Simon’s Seat is distinctly discernible. The above description, extracted from the club’s handbook in the 1930’s, still holds true today. The holes in question may have long gone, but the views and especially the invigorating air are still the same.
