At one of the best 18 hole golf courses in the South of England, playing Links golf at Hayling Golf Club provides a serious challenge for the low handicapper whilst offering lesser golfers an enjoyable tussle.

The course is set within 190 acres of a Site of Special Scientific Interest and gently undulates between sand dunes around the South West peninsular of Hayling Island. Unrivalled, panoramic sea views are to be enjoyed: south across The Solent to the Isle of Wight, north across Langstone Harbour to the South Downs and west to Portsmouth and Southsea.

The coastal location, on old shingle beaches, means the course drains exceptionally well and, with careful fairway watering from its own spring, is rarely unplayable or in poor condition. Since its creation in 1883 Hayling Golf Club has regularly hosted County and National competitions and an expert, energetic and dedicated greenkeeping staff maintain championship standards. Clubhouse standards are similarly high whilst still offering the welcoming warmth of a members’ club.

A resident PGA Professional offers tuition for all abilities with a well-stocked, competitively priced, shop to supply most equipment needs for hire or sale. The efficient Secretary’s office welcomes all players with official handicaps and can tailor society and corporate packages to meet specific needs. Uninterrupted sea views from the upstairs bar, coupled with traditional catering, complete a memorable visit.
