The course was designed by Ben Sayers and is located alongside the Moray Firth approximately half a mile from the mouth of the River Spey.
It is a links type course with a par of 70. The‘signature’ hole is the 8th (138yds) which is played from a raised tee to a very shallow, raised green. Anything from a wedge to a ‘3 wood’ may be required depending on the prevailing winds.
Spey Bay is a haven for wildlife, including osprey (April to September), dolphins, otters and a wide variety of birds.
Nearby there is a well-known Wildlife Centre. Walking is a popular pastime in the area, particularly along the Speyside Way. Permits are available locally to fish the River Spey.
Fochabers is the nearest town, about 5 miles away and there you find the home of the world renowned Baxters Highland Village.
