Founded in 1904, originally owned by Napier Miles, part of the Kingsweston Estate, the course was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1918. Some 5 miles along the Portway from the centre of Bristol and several hundred feet above the river, it would be difficult to find a more stunning setting.

The parkland links are on the immediate outskirts of the village of Shirehampton and a good test of golf for players of all standards. Not a long course, but the undulating nature of the ground amply makes up for the lack of length. Our fairways are tight and some greens small with narrow or raised entry.
