West Wilts is a traditional Member’s Club located in Warminster 200 metres above sea level on the edge of Salisbury Plain. Established in 1891, the course was designed by J.H. Taylor and features fine fairways and greens with superb views stretching over three counties.
The course has characteristics of a ‘links’ and provides players of all standards with a fair test of golf. 5754 yards long with a Par of 70 and Course Standard Scratch Score of 68, the course features 50 bunkers and relatively small greens; a good short game is therefore essential to score well!
The Club provides a full catering service and has both indoor and outdoor practice facilities. Visitors are most welcome (preferably with proof of membership from a bona fide golf club) although it is advisable to contact the Secretary or Club Professional prior to arrival to ensure play is possible.
