Victoria Hotel Morayshire
Set in the beautiful coastal village of Portknockie The Victoria Hotel aims to give every guest a warm Scottish welcome and a relaxing stay.
We are a 5 minute walk to the much photographed Bow Fiddle Rock. There are many coastal walks and an abundance of distilleries, golf courses, castles and fishing.
We have seven bedrooms in total at the hotel. Six double bedrooms and one twin room.
We are dog friendly in some of our rooms and bar. Extra beds upon request.
The village of Portknockie overlooks it’s traditional harbour, beaches and rocky coves from the cliff tops above.
Within the harbour area a natural swimming pool has been created. Whilst the harbour is no longer a ‘working’ fishing port, it is busy with the comings and goings of pleasure craft and private boats.
The Victoria Hotel provides an ideal base for exploring the North of Scotland and finding out what this part of the country has to offer.
Portknockie is set between two challenging and different traditional Scottish links golf courses – two miles to the east is Cullen Golf Club – course may be short on yardage but it requires pin-point accuracy and good club selection to not spoil your score card – three miles west is Strathlene Golf Club – more length but with undulating fairways, not too large greens and a host of other hazards serves to provide a different challenge altogether.
Not too far afield (actually all within a 45 minute car drive) there are around fifteen golf courses – links and inland – flat and/or slopes – all with different challenges and variety of terrain and scenery- to choose to visit and play. This is truly an area all golfers should try at least once. There being so many golf courses to choose from in the area tee times are rarely congested and green fees are reasonably priced . Packages can be arranged upon request – including groups of up to 8 (dependent on room availability).
