Helen’s Bay Golf Club is one of the prettiest golf courses in the North Down/Greater Belfast area. Founded in 1896 it nestles on a gentle hill at the mouth of Belfast Lough in the middle of the village of Helen’s Bay.

The Club welcomes visitors, whether in golfing societies or as individuals. The nine-hole course, while not long is now a good test of accurate golf. The well-maintained course does not intimidate beginners, but the low handicappers will not find it easy to break par.

The club was founded in 1896 by the its first patron Fredrick Hamilton Temple Blackwood, Marquis of Dufferin and Ava and saw its first competition on the 16th of June that year. From its very beginnings Helen’s Bay has welcomed both men and women with the first competition for Ladies being played on July 14th, 1897. From these beginnings more than 100 years ago the club has been enjoyed by thousands of members and visitors alike for its challenging course, welcoming atomsphere and wonderful views over Belfast Lough.
