Oughterard Golf Club Co Galway

Oughterard Golf Club is situated on N59 adjacent to the 15th-century Aughnanure Castle, 15 miles west of Galway city en route to Connemara. It is a delightful eighteen-hole course, excellently maintained for the discerning golfer.

Mature trees demand thought and accuracy from the tee, and elevated greens require precision and patience. The relatively short front nine injects a false sence of security which is quickly deflated on some very testing holes over the inward nine, leaving the player with memories of a fair but demanding course.
