Like so many courses in the west of Ireland, Boyle, in County Roscommon, was designed by Eddie Hackett. It was founded in 1911 and is a parkland course which is set on a low hill. The fairways are generous but that’s not to say that you will find this nine-holer as a pushover. Far from it, in fact.
Like so many courses in this part of the world, a visit here represents excellent value for money, for which you can enjoy the sort of facilities attached to golf clubs with much greater reputations.
