Minchinhampton Old Course is situated in the delightful Cotwolds, some 3 miles from the town of Stroud. The Club is set on Minchinhampton Common, an unspoiled area of outstanding natural beauty, close to the picturesque village of Amberley and the small market town of Minchinhampton.

The Old Course was originally established in 1889 and was one of the earliest clubs to be formed in the West of England. Golf has been enjoyed on the common from that date onwards and despite two World Wars, has not suffered too much disruption – although during the D-Day build-up there were 1000 allied servicemen temporarily housed on-site!

By the 1970’s it was evident that additional space was required and this led to the creation of Minchinhampton New Course in 1975, which is situated approximately 3 miles from the Old Course.
