Situated at the heart of the Exmoor National Park Exford is one of it’s prettiest villages. Surrounded by stunning countryside and moorland where Exmoor ponies, red deer and birds of prey are a common sight. 

We have six golf courses within an easy drive from The Crown Hotel, including Minehead & West Somerset and Ilfracombe Golf clubs.

Our food has an excellent reputation both locally and nationally. You can choose to dine in our cosy country bar or extended lounge area, both serve real ales, fine wines, select gins and freshly prepared food. We are happy to cater for society’s and larger groups.

The Crown Hotel is dog friendly with lots of walks straight from our doorstep. Our roaring log fires, cosy rooms and friendly atmosphere make The Crown the ideal place to return after a day’s golfing, touring, walking, riding, fishing or shooting on Exmoor.

As a family owned and run hotel (Sara with her father, Chris and son, Ellis) we aim to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. The unique friendly atmosphere ensures you feel part of the family.
Our rooms are all individually styled and en suite with modern amenities including tv and tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary bottled water, biscuits and toiletries, free wifi too. Dogs are welcome.

Why not rent our ‘Old Laundry’ a two bedroom bungalow with a secluded back garden in a quiet spot at the rear of the hotel. Dogs are welcome. A perfect place to stay and explore Exmoor.

Dining at the Crown Hotel
Dining at The Crown is a treat! We have our cosy country bar and extended lounge area. We serve real ales, select gins and fine wines and offer a relaxed yet efficient service. 
Our menu has dishes to suit most tastes and appetites with seasonal specials also available. The dishes are all freshly prepared and cooked to order using locally sourced ingredients where possible with organic and free range produce being a main priority. Head Chef and his team aim to present you with a well balanced meal and hope you enjoy your dining experience.
Roaring log fires in winter and outside dining in summer make the Crown the ideal place to stay or stop for a meal whilst visiting Exmoor.
