The Hood Arms Somerset
WELCOME TO THE HOOD ARMS
REAL ALES ~ GREAT FOOD ~ ACCOMMODATION ~ BEER GARDEN
The Hood Arms is an historic 17th Century coaching inn situated in the village of Kilve on the edge of the Quantock Hills, a short drive from Cannington Golf Club, complete with a roaring fire, flagstone floors and beams.
The Hood is a family run inn steeped in history, on the route of the Coleridge Way and close to the Jurassic coastline and beaches of Somerset. Our location ishalfway between Bridgwater and Minehead and very accessible for Taunton, or as a base to explore Exmoor.
We have nine very comfortable and stylish rooms. Our accommodation is superbly appointed and features a number of superking, king, double, twin and dog friendly rooms.
We also have a large garden which is dog friendly and has a purpose built children’s area. In good weather you can dine outside. You can also enjoy a game of boules or table tennis.
Although the building is on two floors and has steps on the ground floor there is a ramp and wheelchair access to the ground floor, where the bar and restaurant are located and to the beer garden.
Based on the edge of the beautiful Quantock Hills and Exmoor National Park, we are ideally placed for walkers. The South West Coast Path runs right past us on Kilve beach which is part of the spectaular Jurassic coast. Kilve is a perfect location for collecting ammonites and reptile remains. The beach is also ideal for rock pooling, set in tranquil surroundings and ideal for all the family to enjoy.
