A warm welcome to Musselburgh Links, The Old Golf Course, officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the “oldest golf course in the world”.
Musselburgh Links, The Old Golf Course is an original Open Championship venue, hosting the event on six occasions between 1874 and 1889.
Documentary evidence proves that golf was played on Musselburgh Links as early as 2 March 1672 although Mary, Queen of Scots reputedly played here in 1567.”
Visitors from all over the world have come and played on this historic course and so can you! Open to the public all year round, you can experience a piece of golfing history and for a truly unique experience you can hire hickory clubs and play the course as it was in its heyday!
Musselburgh Links is open to the public all year round, with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years Day.
When there is a race fixture at Musselburgh Racecourse, only a limited number of tee times are available.
