Blackpool North Shore Golf Club is a private members club set in 98 acres, situated 500 yards from the North Promenade and 2 miles from the town centre of Blackpool. Blackpool is the premier English resort on the North West Coast of England.
The course is a links type course with rolling fairways and good-sized greens. Its traditional and well-furnished Club House offers magnificent views of the Lake District, the Forest of Bowland, Bleasdale Fells and the Pennine Hill range. The course is a par 71 over 6431 yards and designed by H S Colt in 1920.
Since then it has hosted the Great Britain match with the Rest of the World in 1963, the PGA Penfold Tournament in 1967 and a number of occasions has been a qualifying course when The Open has been held at Royal Lytham & St Annes. Currently it is the venue for the Lancashire PGA Championship.
Both individual visitors and parties are welcome at North Shore and apart from the golf the Club provides full practise facilities. The Club House includes a Restaurant providing both bar snacks and A la Carte dining. Two full size snooker tables and a 19th bar with Satellite TV complete the facilities.
