The courses occupy a lightly wooded parkland setting, in rolling countryside. Extra hazards have been added to the natural ones already present, with dozens of bunkers and eighteen lakes making play even more of a challenge. The courses are open throughout the year, with many of the holes having purpose-built alternative greens, allowing for changes when the weather dictates. All the courses are well marked with many helpful hints given during your round.

For example, there are 150-yard and 100-yard markers to the centre of each main green and 150-yard markers to each alternative green. On each tee there is a map of the green in play, also showing the pin position for that day.
