It’s a well drained (the driest inland course in Ireland) heathland / parkland layout. As a result it’s playable all year round. The course is relatively short at 5300 metres, due to six searching par 3’s and a challenging well-bunkered back nine, scoring is not as simple as it’s length makes it appear.
The entire course in dominated by Slemish Mountain, which is of world renowned due to its association with Ireland’s patron saint, Patrick.
