The historic parkland of Cottrell Park is set in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan and it is an idyllic setting for a golfing venue. Cottrell is very conveniently located, being only a few miles from Cardiff and it’s International Airport.
The beautiful parkland covers over 400 acres and offers breath-taking views sweeping northwards as far as the Brecon Beacons and southwards over the Bristol Channel to the Mendips.
The golfing facilities include two magnificent Championship Golf Courses, the Mackintosh, (6,113 yards off the daytime tees), and the Button Gwinnett, (5,841 yards off the daytime tees), as well as two high tech sports simulators, an all-weather driving range, putting greens and golf practice areas.
The 19th is a super clubhouse with its exposed wooden ceiling beams and flagstones, offering a rustic but cosy feel. The friendly and comfortable atmosphere helps you to relax after a hard day’s work or play and there is an extensive bar menu available.
The accommodation is within the grounds of the resort and is perfect for small visiting golf groups equipped with club storage areas and modern facilities.
There are two apartments within the Coach House. A ground floor and first floor each with similar facilities both accommodating for up to a maximum of 8 people each sharing rooms. The Coach House is self-catering although we can provide full catering if required. Each apartment offers similar modern facilities. In each there are two bedrooms to include one double bed and two single beds in each room, there is also a double bed settee that can be used if required. There is a fully fitted and equipped kitchen with dining room and living area. There is one bathroom in each apartment, the lower apartment includes a shower and the upper apartment with a shower and bath.
The Clubhouse facilities include a large elegant Marquee for Weddings and Corporate Events plus several rooms that can be set-up in a wide variety of styles for conferences and meetings.
