The Cowglen Golf Club.
Founded in 1906 originally as a 9 hole course, Cowglen is a challenging parkland course with many holes requiring an accurate tee shot to allow the correct approach to its well guarded greens.
The course was reconstructed in 1923 under the guidelines of James Braid to 18 holes. Located on Barrhead Road, between Pollokshaws Toll and Silverburn Shopping Centre, the clubhouse offers bar and catering facilities to a high standard.
Cowglen Golf Club is an undulating parkland course with mature trees framing its fairways and excellent greens and enjoys fabulous views over the Clyde Valley and the Campsie Hills. Its rural setting belies the fact it is only ten minutes drive from Glasgow City Centre, (approximately one mile from junction 2 of the M77).
As well as an outstanding course with superb greens, we are very proud of our very extensive practice facilities with Huxley mats for all weather play and our golf professional is on hand to introduce you to the game of golf or to help you hone your skills to reduce your handicap. Our locker rooms and shower areas have been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard.
Individuals and golfing groups will be made most welcome.
Cowglen Golf Club is pleased to be hosting the Scottish Boys Area Team Championship, organised by the Scottish Golf Union, in June 2012.
