Craigmillar Park Golf Club Edinburgh

Situated within the boundaries of the city of Edinburgh, near the Royal Observatory on Blackford Hill, Craigmillar Park Golf Club is a parkland course with panoramic views over the city of Edinburgh to East Lothian and the Perthshire Hills.

The club was constituted in 1895 and moved to its present location in 1907. It was extended to 18 holes (designed by James Braid) in 1927. The course is 5851 yards long and hosts the 72 hole Craigmillar Park Open in early April each year. Two former winners, Nick Faldo and Craig Watson played in the 1998 Augusta Masters. Nick Faldo won in 1976 and immediately turned professional.

The 2003 winner was Graham Gordon of Newmacher, the Scottish Amateur Champion, who played in the Great Britain & Ireland team which went on to retain the Walker Cup. The 2004 winner was Jamie McCleary, later named Scottish Golfer of the Year. 2005 saw the trophy go to John Gallagher who went on to make the final of the British Amateur Championships.
