Earl of Mar Golf Course Lanarkshire

The Earl of Mar golf course is available exclusively to hotel residents. The course designed by Dave Thomas and built on the banks of the river Clyde will appeal to golfers of all levels.

The golf itself is challenging having been built incorporating an abundance of mature trees combined with strategic bunkers calls for clear club choice and accurate delivery.

At par 70 it measures just under 6500 yards comprising of two par fives four par threes and twelve par fours. Designed by David Thomas, the Earl of Mar golf course is built on the grounds of Mar Hall Hotel, along the banks of the river Clyde. Thomas, a well-known golf professional of the 60s, a former runner up of two British opens, one in a play off with Jack Nicklaus, is also highly respected as a course designer.
