Forest Park Golf Club is in the village of Stockton on the Forest 3 miles north east of the historic and beautiful city of York. Forest Park is an easy walking, 27 hole, parkland course, with tree lined fairways and the Old Foss Beck which creates a natural hazard on many of the holes.
The 18 hole OLD FOSS COURSE is 6673 yards, par 71, S.S. 72. This course has a challenging variety of holes, which includes a short par 3 over a pond to an island type green, varying lengths of par 4’s and demanding par 5’s. This makes an enjoyable and testing game for golfers of all abilities.
The 9 hole WEST COURSE is 6372 yards (twice around), par 70, S.S. 70. It has a blend of long and short holes which require good course management and careful shot making decisions. To enhance the presentation of this high quality golfing venue, the courses are maintained to a high standard by green staff using modern equipment and a computerised irrigation system.
The club has a covered driving range, which is open to all golfers who may purchase a basket of balls to practice their game. Expert tuition and advice is available from our resident professional Mark Winterburn. The club also boasts a well-stocked shop with leading brand names at competitive prices.
The extensive clubhouse overlooking the first tee and eighteenth green has a warm and friendly atmosphere. It provides a comfortable lounge/bar area and separate dining room with seating for up to 100 people, an ideal venue for visiting societies.
