Hartsbourne Country Club offers some of the most stunning golf you can find anywhere in the south of England. It is situated on the County borders of Hertfordshire and Middlesex and is set in over 250 acres of beautifully manicured and mature parkland.
The original course, designed by Messrs Hawtree & J.H. Taylor, was completed in 1928 for the members of Wembley Golf Club when their land was acquired to build that famous old, twin-towered, stadium for the 1924 Empire Exhibition. They named their new course after the manor house that had occupied this site, in many and often notorious guises, since the early 1300’s.
The clubhouse and course have seen numerous additions and changes over the years including a large outdoor heated pool, tennis court, snooker room, bridge rooms and a spacious sun terrace. The playing area has been extended so it now includes 27-holes as well as a large covered practice area and with our continual investment in drainage improvement and the installation of a state of the art irrigation system we have ensured that both courses remain in play throughout the year.
It is not difficult to appreciate why Hartsbourne Country Club is one of the hidden gems of private members golf.
