Hawick Golf Club, the oldest golf club in the Borders, has been in existence since 1877. Located on the picturesque Vertish Hill on the outskirts of Hawick, where the famous brands of cashmere garments of Peter Scott, Pringle, Lyle and Scott, are produced. Nick Faldo (who holds the professional course record of 64), Colin Montgomerie, and Tony Jacklin, are all honorary members. To top that, we also have the “voice of Rugby”, Bill McLaren, as a life member, and he has been known to frequent the course on many occasions.
