Hopeman Golf Club Morayshire

Hopeman Golf Club was founded in 1909 as a nine hole course. In 1985 it was extended to eighteen holes, and today is one of the most demanding links courses in the North of Scotland. Most fairways are jealously guarded by gorse and broom, adding an additional challenge for visitors and members alike.

A burn meanders from the 6th tee and is in play at the 2nd, 7th and 18th holes, while the pond close to the 18th green is a factor in deciding on the approach shot.

Playing the spectacular 12th with its green nestling in the Clashach Cove over 100 feet below the tee, golfers are faced with panoramic views over the Moray Firth and beyond . Bottle nosed dolphins are regularly seen in the waters below. Open Champion and Honorary President of Hopeman Golf Club, Paul Lawrie OBE, described the hole as “one of the best par 3s I have ever played”.
