The Course is situated within the walls of the Kilmorey Estate at the foot of the Mourne Mountains and can be found 3 miles from Kilkeel town centre on the main Newry Road. The beautiful and historic Carlingford Lough flows alongside and frequent glimpses can be obtained through the many mature trees which separate the fairways.
The Club has played host to the R&A and Senior European Tour having been used as a qualifying Course for the British Amateur and Senior British Open in the last few years. The Par 72 Championship Course was redesigned and remodelled by the famous Irish architect Eddie Hackett and proves a real challenge to the discerning player and a relaxing round of golf for the casual enthusiast.
A recently built Clubhouse boasts spacious Restaurant and Bar facilities overlooking the Course while adjacent buildings house fully-equipped Locker Rooms, modern conference/meeting facilities and a well-stocked Shop. The surrounding area offers a wealth of things to do including hill walking, cycling, deep sea fishing and horse riding.
The Estate was used to house the US Army during the Second World War and some evidence of the various buildings can still be found around the Course.
