Our golf course is set in more than 160 acres of parkland in the beautiful Lune Valley and is our members’ pride and joy.
Established in 1991, the course has reached a level of maturity and conditioning that makes it a pure pleasure to play. Our Head Greenkeeper and his team work hard to provide members and visitors with true putting surfaces and excellent fairways throughout the year.
The Men’s course measures 6594 yards (Par 72, SS 72) from the competition tees and 6244 yards (Par 72, SS 70) from the daily tees.
The Ladies course is 5734 yards (Par 73, SS 73).
The par of 72 is evenly distributed over the two halves, each having two par threes, five par fours and two par fives. The course is set out in two anti-clockwise nine-hole loops that make full use of the natural landscape.
The front nine crosses Barbon Beck and works its way down to the River Lune, before returning to the clubhouse. The back nine then heads north up the Lune valley, presenting you with spectacular views of the Howgill Fells, before reaching the high point of the course on the 15th green.
The final three holes then provide a strong finish as you turn back into the prevailing south westerly breeze, with our signature 17th hole being a 157 yard par three to a green located just over Barbon Beck.
