Letchworth Golf Club Hertfordshire

Letchworth’s course was originally constructed over nine holes in 1905 and extended to full eighteen holes in 1911 by the famous professional Harry Vardon. Always picturesque, well maintained and a good challenge the course was rather short on length by today’s standards.
So in 1999 the club acquired some new land and embarked on a major course extension; this was completed in 2003 and has enabled Letchworth to maintain its place as one of Hertfordshire’s leading golf courses.
The Letchworth Golf Club is conveniently located, approx 1 mile from the A1(M) Junction 9, adjacent to Letchworth Hall Hotel. Detailed directions are available from the Location Map. The Club has a lively clubhouse, with bar and restaurant and a Professional’s shop, with leading equipment and clothing at competitive prices.
Visiting the Club
Located on the edge of England’s first ever Garden City, not far from the A1, and just a short drive down leafy Letchworth Lane, the course is set in beautiful undulating countryside. The Heritage Course is a true parkland course, well renowned for its firm fast greens and tree lined fairways, and is amongst the best the county has to offer. Host to the Hertfordshire County Championships in 2020 and Men’s County Foursomes in 2021, the Club is also the home venue for the Hertfordshire Men’s 1st team, as well as County Boys & Girls squads.
