Neath Golf Club invites you to come and play the historic heathland course designed in 1934 by the legendary 5 time Open Champion James Braid. Described by Henry Cotton, “I’ve travelled the entire golfing world, but never before seen such golfing beauty as at Neath”.
The course is a magnificent test of golf and is one of the best in South Wales, especially in a slight breeze, offering a different challenge on every hole. The Neath Bell, a Glamorgan County Golf Union Order of Merit Event, is played for annually over the Championship Course using the recently discovered and redeveloped original “Braid Tee” on the 3rd hole, offering one of the most breathtaking vistas in South Wales. The classic par 72 layout is suitable for golfers at all levels of skill and experience with four sets of tees to cater for everyone.
Neath is more than a golf club, it is a living environment and the biodiversity and sustainability of the Club being pro-actively developed to help incorporate the course into the environment. Neath is one of only 3 courses in Wales registered with the Golf Environmental Organisation, with the aim of becoming a GEO accredited Club.
With an excellent reputation for its condition and all year round playability Neath can be enjoyed throughout the calendar and offers superb value for money for visiting golfers and societies.
Complemented with a warm welcome and excellent catering, everything is in place for you to enjoy a memorable day.
