Seaford Golf Club was founded in 1887 and moved to its present Blatchington location in 1907. The Club has one of the best downland courses in the south of England with its glorious views of the Sussex Downs on one side and the English Channel on the other. Coupled with a comprehensive range of facilities for members and visitors, including first class accommodation, golfers are able to enjoy an experience that few other golf clubs in the region can match.
Golfers will find a top quality course which will be both a challenge to the best players and a satisfying, but not impossible, experience for those with higher handicaps. The course plays longer than its absolute yardage suggests. It has a par of 69, including just one par 5, and measures 6546 yards from the back tees (SSS 71). Being set high up on the South Downs the wind is nearly always a significant factor. Similarly the rapid drainage of water through the underlying chalk ensures that the course is rarely closed for play in winter while providing a different challenge in summer with firm fairways and greens.
Within the Clubhouse good food is available in the dining room and bars while the snooker room requires a different skill. Accommodation for residential visitors is on the Dormy floor of the Clubhouse while all other facilities are shared. In short there is everything a golfer could wish for and all can be assured of a friendly welcome from our experienced staff and members at Seaford Golf Club.
