Shooter’s Hill Golf Club London

The beautiful parkland course is conveniently situated near the city and is barely 15 minutes from Canary Wharf. The Club was founded on September 8th 1903 by Bill “Pa” Dickinson; it consisted of three holes laid out between the existing 12th, 17th and 18th greens. About 1908 it became 18 holes (annual subscription two guineas!).

In 1910 James Braid and Harry Vardon played an exhibition match here. Willie Park laid out the 18-hole course to run along the valleys, whereas now it runs across them.
